Installation Note 56465: The error "This Application is not authorized to use SAS Logon Manager" is generated when you try to log on to SAS® Environment Manager
When you attempt to log on to SAS Environment Manager, the logon fails and the following error message is generated:
The Application is not authorized to use SAS Logon Manager
This error can occur for the following reasons:
- In the security-web-context.xml file, URLs that point to the SAS Logon web application or SAS Environment Manager web application are incorrect. The security-web-context.xml file is file is located in the folder SAS-configuration-folder\Levn\Web\SASEnvironmentManager\server-version-EE\hq-engine\hq-server\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\spring\. In this path, SAS-configuration-folder specifies your SAS configuration folder and Levn specifies the level (for example, Lev1, Lev2, and so on).
For this issue, check the security-web-context.xml file and verify that the host name, port, and protocol for each of the URLs are correct.
- In the identity-service.properties file, the url.base= entry is not correct. The identity-service.properties file resides in the folder SAS-configuration-folder\Levn\Web\SASEnvironmentManager\server-version-EE\hq-engine\hq-server\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes\. In this path, SAS-configuration-folder specifies your SAS configuration folder and Levn specifies the level (for example, Lev1, Lev2, and so on).
This entry should look similar to the following:
url.base=protocol\://host-name\:port/
In this entry, protocol specifies either HTTP or HTTPS (depending on what you have configured). The values host-name and port can be either the SAS® Web Server host name and port or the load balancer host name and port (if you have any load balancer configured).
- There are inconsistencies in the URLs for the SAS Environment Manager web application. For example, suppose you log on to SAS® Management Console and navigate to Configuration Manager - SAS Application Infrastructure. When you check the connection properties for the DP-SAS-Environment Manager web application, the URL points to a different host name, port, or protocol than what is configured in security-web-context.xml file that resides in SAS-configuration-folder\Levn\Web\SASEnvironmentManager\server-version-EE\hq-engine\hq-server\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\spring\.
To resolve the problem, ensure that all URLs for this application are consistent.
